Children from Tabok Elementary School

What Will Matter

Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, or days.

All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.

It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.

It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end.

It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built. Not what you got, but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success, but your
significance. What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence, but your
character.

What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.

It's not a matter of circumstance but of CHOICE.

Choose to live a life that matters.

Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up." ~Jesse Jackson

The Hope4Growth Education and Achievement List (HEAL) Project is a charity program based in the United States, approved and supported by the non-profit organization called Congressional District Programs.

This vision came from childhood experiences that developed into a life-long mission. My parents came from a small town in the rural parts of the Philippines and being born in America, I was given the opportunity to travel there often to see where my parents came from and to learn from the experience. Some of the schools were in need of improvement, but I was extrememly touched to see the eagerness, the energy and the potential these children had.

The kids left a lasting impression on me that I wanted to become a postive contributor to their environment and to share their bright smiles with others around the world. Though it was many years in the making, The HEAL Project was established in May 2007. The program was made possible by the presence of individuals who have shared their invaluable insights and have impacted my life.

We want to create positive results for children in the world. We want to help them one area, one community, one school at a time.

I firmly believe that we were all meant for something greater in the world - a life filled with not just success, but a life filled with significance.
